👑 Judging & Scoring Criteria
Southern Kingdom Pageants uses a simple and transparent scoring system designed to ensure fairness, consistency, and professionalism across all divisions.
Every contestant has the opportunity to shine through our Lights, Camera, Crown! Showcase Experience, where judges evaluate confidence, personality, communication, and stage presence.
All contestants are evaluated by qualified judges using standardized scoring criteria.
Final placements are determined by total combined scores, and judges’ decisions are final.
📊 Core Competition Categories
Contestants are scored in three categories for a total of 100 points.
🎬 Showcase Video – 50 Points
Each contestant participates in a professional Lights, Camera, Crown! photoshoot session, creating a 1-minute showcase video that plays during the pageant while they walk the runway.
Judges evaluate:
• Confidence on camera
• Personality and expression
• Modeling ability and posing
• Creativity and presentation
• Overall visual impact
This category highlights the contestant’s camera presence and ability to connect with the audience.
Judging & Score Release Policy
Southern Kingdom Pageants maintains a structured and confidential judging process to ensure fairness, professionalism, and integrity.
All contestants are evaluated by a panel of judges using the official scoring system. All scores are reviewed and officially tabulated by Southern Kingdom Pageants.
Judges’ individual score sheets, notes, and scoring breakdowns are considered confidential and will not be disclosed, distributed, or reviewed during or after the event.
Scores will not be discussed at the event with contestants, parents, or guests.
At the sole discretion of the Director, a contestant may submit a written request to receive a summary of their final tabulated scores by category following the pageant. This summary, if provided, will reflect overall category totals only.
Under no circumstances will handwritten judges’ sheets, judge identities tied to specific scores, comments, or internal tabulation documents be released.
All judging decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
💃 Runway Walk & Stage Presence – 30 Points
During the pageant, contestants walk the runway while their showcase video plays on the big screen.
Judges evaluate:
• Poise and posture
• Confidence and stage presence
• Energy and projection
• Natural movement and presentation
• Overall impact on stage
This portion allows contestants to demonstrate their confidence and personality in front of the audience.
🎤 On-Stage Interview – 20 Points
Each contestant answers a short question during her stage presentation.
👉 Interview questions are provided or selected in advance, allowing contestants to prepare and feel confident on stage.
Judges evaluate:
• Communication skills
• Confidence while speaking
• Clarity of expression
• Authentic personality
• Professional presence
This portion allows contestants to share their voice, personality, and individuality in a supportive and prepared environment.
