Dawn Bright
Founder & Director, Southern Kingdom Pageants
Empowering young women through confidence, real-world experience, and meaningful opportunities to shine.
Southern Kingdom Pageants was founded with a vision—to create an experience where young women feel confident, supported, and inspired to shine. Dawn Bright leads with heart, faith, and a passion for helping every contestant discover her confidence and purpose.
As a wife of over 30 years, a mother of four, and a grandmother of four, Dawn brings a strong sense of family, encouragement, and care into every part of the Southern Kingdom experience.
Her journey began in modeling and theater, where she stood out among thousands of contestants to win a modeling competition with JCPenney, earning a contract with Today’s Woman in Atlanta. She also gained valuable experience through professional modeling opportunities, which helped shape her passion for confidence, presentation, and personal growth.
Dawn has been involved in producing and directing local fashion events in the Amarillo area, including the Botanical Gardens Poinsettia Luncheon and the Fall in Love Fashion Show. These events featured live runway experiences showcasing clothing and accessories from local boutiques such as Just Jewelry and JJ Boutique.
Through these events, Dawn worked both behind the scenes and alongside participants—helping young women build confidence, develop stage presence, and experience the excitement of stepping into the spotlight.
In addition, she founded and led the STRETCH (Strengthen Their Reach Educating Texas Christian Homeschoolers) homeschool co-op, serving over 40 families in the Amarillo area. This experience reflected her heart for building community, mentoring families, and creating meaningful, confidence-building environments.
Today, Dawn blends her background in modeling, theater, event production, and mentorship to create a pageant experience that is fun, uplifting, and truly unforgettable—where every contestant shines like a star.
